Position: Account Officer<\/h2>\n

Job brief<\/h3>\n

Mikson Industries Limited needs a dedicated Account Officer who will manage all our financial transactions. Ensure efficiency without giving up accuracy.\u00a0 The ideal candidate is expected to work with large amounts of numerical data and handle multiple tasks with deadlines. Nevertheless, you are to ensure that all bank transaction is capture and recorded.<\/p>\n

Roles and Responsibilities<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Maintain strong, accurate financial records<\/li>\n
  • Performing audits and resolving discrepancies<\/li>\n
  • Manage the entire accounting transactions<\/li>\n
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable<\/li>\n
  • Attend to any discrepancies in accounting<\/li>\n
  • Keeping account books and systems up to date<\/li>\n
  • Support daily financial operations<\/li>\n
  • Providing reports on financial data<\/li>\n
  • Cross-check invoices with payment<\/li>\n
  • Sending bills and invoices to clients<\/li>\n
  • Monitor all cash movement from cash received down to cash deposits in the bank<\/li>\n
  • Reconcile daily sales transation such as POS, cash, and transfers<\/li>\n
  • Ensure all receipts are intact and receipts should be missing<\/li>\n
  • Verify every invoices and delivery notes<\/li>\n
  • Oversee debtors and credit customers<\/li>\n
  • Follow-ups on debtors and send reminders<\/li>\n
  • Escalate any long debt to the management<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate with sales operations to provide accurate customer balances<\/li>\n
  • Perform daily bank reconciliation to resolve variances<\/li>\n
  • Reconcile POS transfer alerts against bank credits.<\/li>\n
  • Track all bank charges, and reversals failed transfers<\/li>\n
  • Manage and prepare weekly and monthly reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Requirements<\/h4>\n
      \n
    • 2 years of experience, preferably in distribution\/retail experience, is a big advantage<\/li>\n
    • Excellent knowledge of accounting<\/li>\n
    • Strong attention to detail<\/li>\n
    • Ethical behaviour<\/li>\n
    • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles<\/li>\n
    • Good knowledge\u00a0of accounting principles<\/li>\n
    • Attention to detail<\/li>\n
    • Problem-solving skills<\/li>\n
    • Good experience with general ledger functions<\/li>\n
    • Comfortable using spreadsheets<\/li>\n
    • Ability to handle pressure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Qualifications<\/h4>\n

      • OND\/HND in Accounting, Finance, or any related field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
