He or She is the head of the University Library, responsible to the vice chancellor for the administration of the University Library and the coordination of Library services in the University, across its teaching and research units.<\/p>\n<h4>Roles and Responsibilities<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Shelve books and tidy up the school library<\/li>\n<li>Find materials and resources for students<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a school\u2019s library collection<\/li>\n<li>Work with teaching staff and students<\/li>\n<li>Supervise students in the library<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the delivery of literacy intervention strategies<\/li>\n<li>Select, order, organise, and maintain library resources<\/li>\n<li>To encourage purposeful use of the library for study<\/li>\n<li>Keep and file historical records and documents relating to the existence of the library<\/li>\n<li>Teaching students to develop research skills and encouraging<br \/>\nthem to access the school library<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Requirements<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A professional qualification from the Librarians Registration Council of Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Candidate must attain the rank of Deputy Librarian in a University<\/li>\n<li>He or She must have been a deputy librarian for a minimum of five (5) years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Qualifications<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A master&#8217;s degree in Library and Information Science<\/li>\n<li>ICT skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Tenure<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The candidate will hold office for a single term of five years only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Location<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Abia<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>How to Apply<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Interested candidates should submit their applications with detailed curriculum vitae, copies of all claimed certificates and a most recent digital headshot\/passport photograph to <strong>careers@amadeus.edu.ng<\/strong> indicating the post applied for in the email<\/li>\n<li>The curriculum vitae should indicate among others 1. Administrative experience and record of service in Universities 6.
