Position: Works Manager
Job Brief
A product packaging outfit in the North Central region is seeking the services of a works manager to ensure that every department carries out its daily job. Nevertheless, as a works manager, you will help develop and implement a strong workforce to ensure the business is thriving.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Delegating responsibilities to workers
- Monitor the quality and progress of works
- Ensure that work is completed within the stipulated time
- Engage contractors to carry out work where required
- Maintain accurate records of work activities
- Direct and assess the performance of work staff
- Provide and analyze Problem Record
- Make sure workers follow company policies
- Resolving conflicts or complaints from workers
- Ensure the best use of the plant and staff in carrying out works
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of industrial and management experience in a packaging company
- Creative
- Interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent management skills
- Ability to analyze processes
- Good time management
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
Qualification
- BS.c/HND in the design and Engineering field, or equivalent practical experience in printing
