Position: Vice Chancellor
Job Brief
The Governing Council of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti (EKSU) wishes to announce that the position of the Vice Chancellor of Unversity will be vacant by the 20th of August, 2024. In line with the provisions of Ekiti State University Law No. 12 of 2014, applications are hereby invited from suitable qualified and distinguished academics with cognate experience in University administration for consideration.
However, the Vice Chancellor of the University will be the Chief Academic and Executive Officer of the University and also the Chairman of the Senate.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Motivate and inspire academic and non-teaching staff
- Work towards the central purpose of the University
- Ensure ordinances and regulations of the University
- Provide advice to the council on any matter
- Maintaining the efficiency and good order of the University
- Ensure discipline
- Regulate admission of students
- Advance learning knowledge and promote talent
- Be the chief image maker of the University
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Must not be more than 65 years of age
- Capable of providing academic leadership
- Must commands respect
- Morally sound
- Must have a drive for technological innovation suit
- Be a person who is not likely to pursue racism, ethnicity, politics and religion
- Must be endowed with the knowledge and experience of how to raise fund
- Be computer literate and have adequate administrative knowledge
- Exhibit entrepreneurial drive and ability to attract extra-budgetary
Qualifications
- Must have a professor’s degree in public health
