Position: Technical Director
Job Brief
An indigenous company in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, and Power Industry wishes to recruit a diligent and competent person for the above position. Therefore, to be successful as a technical director you have to demonstrate a sound understanding of your discipline.
Roles and Responsibilities

- Good knowledge of project management
- Measure and monitor objectives
- Guide the team to meet benchmarks
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Analyse user requirements
- Manage the engineering resource
- Result-making capabilities
- Motivating and inspiring staff members
- Responsibility for technical support for the sales department
- Advise in matters of new product feasibility
- Support and guideline projects with technology competence
- Demonstrate strong competence in active design and costing tools
- Develop local business opportunities or WP technologies by being in close contact with clients finding new applications and/or markets and performing technical sales tendering
Requirements
- Must posess good knoweldge of HYSYS and Aveva E3D
- Understanding of engineering documents and drawings
- Participating and chairing meetings
- Be aware of ATEX and IEC regulations
- 12 years experience on projects
- Good working knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry
- Management training
- Chartered status
- Previous work experience covering Sub-Saharan Africa
- Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, word and Outlook)
Qualifications
- Must possess at least a master’s degree in engineering in Europe
