We are looking for a results-driven supermarket manager for one of our clients to take charge of all the store management activities. The Ideal candidate will be able to improve customer satisfaction and meet sales and productivity goals. Nevertheless, you are to maintain inventory accuracy, supervise staff, and ensure the supermarket runs smoothly. However, this role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and an operational expertise skill set.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop store sales and optimize profitability
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Complete store administration
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Monitor inventory levels
  • Report on buying trends and customer needs
  • Propose innovative ideas to increase sales
  • Create business strategies to increase customer base
  • Oversee daily supermarket operations
  • Supervise the entire staff, including cashiers and floor attendants
  • Ensure excellent customer service
  • Handle customer complaints professionally
  • Ensure timely restocking of shelves
  • Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards
  • Prepare daily/weekly sales reports
  • Ensure product displays are attractive
  • Train team members to meet performance targets.
  • Ensure adherence to cash-handling procedures and financial controls.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of goods.

Requirements

  • Customer Service Orientation
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques

  • Able to work under pressure
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to manage a team
  • Candidate must be a born-again Christian
  • 2–5 years of experience in a supermarket setting or a supervisory retail role.

Qualification

  • BS.c, OND/HND in any related field
