Position: Structural Engineer

Job Brief

Worldwide Technical Services is a leading Engineering operation and maintenance service based in Nigeria. We are into OIL & GAS. We are searching for a Structural Engineer to lead in the review of Structural deliverables to ensure the optimization of work and advise the Engineering Manager. Nevertheless, to succeed in this role the ideal candidate must manage risks and optimise revenue opportunities to support organizational growth.
 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Participate in all audit activities e.g. HSE, PTRs, HAZOPS
• Liaise with the contractor’s design staff
• Ensure efficient and timely resolution of all issues
• Monitor construction and outfitting activities
• Assist in pre-commissioning for discipline-related activities.
• Mark-up drawings on-site for purposes of preparing As-built drawing
• Follow-up on procurement, construction and expediting
• Prepare responses to all technical requests from contractor
• Review and comment on contractor documents within the project review cycle
• Highlight and report any deficiencies or changes to the Contractual scope of the basis of design

Requirements

• Attention to details
• Excellent communication skills
• Good knowledge of Structural Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of post-NYSC Design Experience on offshore projects

Qualification

• A University Degree in Structural Engineering or its equivalent
