Position: Structural Engineer
Job Brief
We are searching for a Structural Engineer who will provide the Company with strategic expertise. Nevertheless, to succeed in this role, the ideal candidate must manage risks and optimise revenue opportunities to support organisational growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor construction and outfitting activities at the fabrication yard
- Liaise with other Company staff at the site
- Direct technical evaluation of the bids and prepare technical recommendations
- Support in pre-commissioning for discipline-related activities
- Follow-up procurement, construction, and expediting
- Evaluate planning updates, including the critical path for discipline-related activities
- Assess and comment on contractor documents within the project review process
- Report any deficiencies or changes to the Contractual scope of the basis of design
- Allow progress for discipline-related activities
- Ensure that contractor resources and organisation are adequate
Requirements
- 15 years of experience in structural engineering
- Ability to mark up drawings on-site
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of construction
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering
- Master’s degree preferred
