Position: Structural Cum Civil Engineer
Job Abstract
A reputable engineering consultant is seeking a skilled and experienced structural engineer to join our team and take charge of managing our construction projects. However, your main task will be to ensure the safety and strength of the structures we build. Therefore, in this role, you will divide your time between our office, where you will be involved in designing and planning project details, and the construction site, where you will provide technical guidance to building workers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Follow construction safety rule
- Designing of structures
- Measure loads and pressures from time to time
- Track and report on project development
- Carry out detailed analysis of geotechnical works
- Deciding on appropriate construction materials
- Coordinate with various stakeholders
- providing technical recommendation
- Obtaining building regulations approval
- Keep an eye on on-site construction processes and direct construction workers
Requirements
- Candidate with a good track record
- Good attention to detail
- Commercial awareness
- Good communication ability
- Good knowledge of the application of design and drafting software
- Candidate must be a member of COREN
Qualifications
- Must be a degree holder
- 5 years of working experience
