Job brief
Keep Fresh Limited is an agricultural firm established to produce fresh farm products of the highest quality and purity, thereby enhancing the profitability of fresh fruits and vegetables in Nigeria. Keep Fresh Limited is seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Specialist who will oversee the quality, checklists, and batch records before being delivered.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate seed production
- Manage the quality assurance function
- Direct the activities of the seed testing
- Ensure compliance with best agronomy practices
- Oversee all activities of the NASC and ISTA
- Visits the farm during the growing season
- Report on farmer’s complaints
- Escalate recurring problems
- Create a quarterly summary of complaints and remedial actions
- Track and ensure farmers’ compliance with product stewardship
- Plan and continual improvement of seed production quality
- Inspect every outgoing product for freshness
- Record quality issues to find a permanent solution
- Educate staff about our quality standards
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Solid knowledge of product stewardship
- Excellent knowledge of quality assurance
- Good understanding of the SSA agricultural biotechnology socio-political
- Strong quality management systems in seed production
- Knowledge of ISO is an added advantage
- Experience in seed production
- Must have a driver’s license
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to communicate with team members
- Step in for supervisors when needed
- Work closely with drivers and field staff
Qualifications
- BSc from a recognised University in Agricultural Sciences or related discipline
