The institute, per its vision and mission, is seeking truly outstanding Nigerians who have completed a PhD in the last five (5) years with relevant research experience for postdoctoral positions.
Positions
- Medical diagnostics
- Bioinformatics (Primer and Probe designs, genome mapping, prediction of protein structure, etc)
- Serology assays for emerging and re-emerging diseases
- Microbiology (Molecular characterisation of bacteria isolates)
- Vaccinology
- Cell and tissue culture
- Molecular cloning
- Immunobiology
Roles and Responsibilities
- Abide by the Institute’s policies
- The appointment does not come with accommodation
- Participate in grant writing
- Supervise students
- Conducting cutting-edge research in any of the areas
- This is a two-year full-time position, renewable based on excellent performance
- Candidates must complete the two-year term, failure to comply will attract a penalty
- Successful candidates are expected to submit quarterly and final reports
- Contribute to other related research activities
Requirements
- PhD in relevant biomedical sciences obtained in the last five (5) years at the time of application
- Good writing and presentation skills
- Demonstrable experience through published articles in peer-reviewed journals
Remuneration
- Annual 5,000,000
- Each proposed research will be funded to a maximum of fifty million Naira within two years
