Position: Plant Operator
Job Brief
The AATF is an international non-profit organization that facilitates and promotes public and private partnerships to promote food security and increase the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in SSA. AATF works with African governments, private and public technology, and NGOs.
The plant operator will be responsible for managing the plant goods-in and goods-out operations, casava processing and storage operation as well as assuring HSEQ compliance and inventory protection for the plant site.
Roels and Responsibilities
- Ensure all inventory movement is recorded
- Liaise with transporters to ensure cost-effective movement of inventory
- Coordinate and train plant workers on safety
- Assisting in the liaison with cassava certification agents and regulatory authorities
- Provide reports on any nonconformities to the plant manager
- Ensure timely delivery of customer’s orders
- Destroy and dispose of all written of cassava as approved
- Carryout activities in the warehouse according to agreed HSEQ procedures
- Ensure that customers’ orders are fulfilled and dispatched
- Carry out routine maintenance
Requirements
- Computer literacy
- Supervisory skills
- Driving license will be an added advantage
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Certification in Health, Environmental, and Safety
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly
- A customer-focused individual

Qualifications
- Diploma-level education in Mechanical Engineering
