Position: Pediatric Nurse

Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul Hospital is a fast-growing healthcare organisation with operations across sectors and is seeking to hire a Pediatric Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to infants.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conducting vital signs and tracking changes in a patient’s health condition
- Delivering high-quality care and ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of children
- Offering emotional support to infants by reducing anxiety during procedures. Nevertheless, you are to act as an advocate for the patient.
- Work closely with other cross-functional teams, such as surgeons, social workers, and others, to manage patient care.
- Educate caregivers on child health nutrition,
- Administer medications prescribed to patients.
- Provide assistance in diagnostic tests and procedures for patients.
- Ensuring that patients who need a blood transfusion get it quickly
- Implement infection control and safety protocols in pediatric care.
- Carry out admission, surveillance, and follow-up of patients
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and maintain accurate medical records.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills
- 1 year of relevant work experience in pediatric nursing.
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Pediatric Nurse
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be a member of the National Association of Nurses and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
- Have a vaild licensed to practice as a Pediatric Nurse
- Flexible, patient, and adaptable to a changing environment
- Ability to work on own initiative and adapt to changing needs
