Position: Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture Technical Coordinator

Sasakawa African Association (SAA) which was formerly known as SG2000 is a Japanese company active in 12 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Sasakawa African Association works with various partners. Including governments, international financial institutions, Universities, agricultural colleges etc. To promote improved and appropriate technologies. Therefore, we are seeking qualified candidates to apply for the above position.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create NAS training materials for use
  • Direct and evaluate staff
  • Ensure networking
  • Collaborating with government agencies, NGOs
  • Analyze the technical performance
  • Conduct, and report on NAS
  • Evaluate and build an extension program to enhance postharvest handling
  • Working with the NAS experts to perform research related to Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture
  • Coordinate training on NSA
  • Organize training for farmers, youth and women

Requirements

  • Ten years of experience in relevant field
  • English proficiency
  • Strong writing skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Reporting skills
  • Knowledge of Postharvest technology
  • Strong food system analysis
  • Agi-business skills
  • Ability to develop a relevant partnership
  • Excellent project management skills

Qualification

  • MSc in Nutrition, Post-harvest management, Food Technology or any other relevant education with a focus on nutrition
