Position: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Job Brief
Worldwide Technical Services is a leading Engineering operation and maintenance. We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our dedicated team. Therefore, the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be in charge of all Mechanical equipment and systems in the Power Plan.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Respond to any mechanical tool breakdown
- Ensure the availability of Mechanical tools
- Reduce the cost of maintenance of the plant
- Perform technical resolution of mechanical-related issues
- Ensure accurate record of any faulty mechanical systems
- Carry out routine inventory of spares to ensure accessibility
- Optimize equipment lifecycle cost
- Optimize the Mean Time Between Failure and Mean Time to Repair
- Manage the daily operation of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
- Reduce response time to the operations unit for handling routine daily problems
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of safety requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the Power Industry
- Good knowledge of modern maintenance management practices
- Strong knowledge of Diesel Engine
- Experience in a Power plant of minimum 20MW capacity
- Solid understanding of statutory guidelines related to Mechanical equipment
- Good maintenance planning and technical reporting skills
- Solid experience in any oil and gas process or production facility
- Member of COREN, Post Graduate degree, and any other certifications will be added advantages
- Ability to perform preventive and proactive interventions of plant Mechanical systems
Qualifications
- First degree in Mechanical Engineering
- HND could be considered
