Position: Marine Superintendents
Job Brief
A leading oil service company is seeking to recruit suitable qualified personnel to fill the above position in the company.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Able to use the Microsoft package
- Must be ready to travel within short notice as may required
- Analytical and highly proactive in technical troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Ability to delegate positively and demonstrate follow-through on all vessel maintenance issues
- Must be able to draft weekly and monthly management reports
- Must be a team player with administration and crew
- Applicants must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the Nigerian marine environment and maritime laws
- Familiarity with ISM and ISPS is a must
- Must possess excellent decision-making skills
- Must be able to conduct effective stand-up training for vessel crews
Qualifications
- Applicants must be holders of B.Eng. in Mechanical and Marine Engineering with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience in a similar position
- Must possess relevant sea-going experience as chief Engineer and Marine Engineer with a minimum of class 2 certification or equivalent with experience in AHTS, Offshore Supply and Offshore tug
- Possession of DP vessel experience will be an added advantage
