Position: Legal Manager and General Counsel
Job Brief

We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity. However, we are seeking a Legal Manager and General Counsel to be part of our finance team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Functions on regulatory compliance standards
- Participate as a disciplinary committee member
- Guide the Company’s Investment Management team
- Identify areas of high and critical business
- Champion strategic legal advisory for supply chain policies
- Guide strategic management of stakeholder relationships
- Support the business teams by managing change arising from new business processes
- Provide expert legal advice to the Board, CEO, Executive Team, and All Heads of Company
- Act as Secretary to the Company
- Represent and advise the CEO, Executive Team, and the Board on all forms of litigation, legal proceedings, and conflict resolution.
Requirements
- 15 years of post-call experience
- 5 years of experience in a managerial capacity
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Exploration & Production operations
- Min. 8 years of working experience with an International Oil firm
- Qualified to practise as a lawyer in Nigeria
- Must be a Member of Nigerian Bar Association
- Strong Legal experience in Oil & Gas across geographies
Qualification
- BSc in Law is required
- MBA, Master’s degree in Law, or Ph.D in Law will be an added advantage
