Position: Labour Relations Advisor
Job Brief
Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) is a leading Nigerian integrated energy company, together with its affiliates. Which manages upstream, midstream and downstream operations in Nigeria and across the West African region seeks to hire an experienced Labour Relations Advisor.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Participates in internal and external labour relations forums
- Leads sharing of information and best practices
- Provides expert support in labour
- Works as a strategic labour relations advisor in the organisation
- Examine labour relations trends
- Prepares and executes strategy for 3rd party contract negotiation
- Collaborate with local and national officials of the labour unions e.g (PENGASSAN, NUPENG etc)
- Build a positive workforce by applying a labour relation strategy
- Conduct analysis and advise management of new trends in labour practices locally
- Act for the company position in labour relation matters e.g union representation
Requirements
- Minimum of ten (10) years of proven experience in labour and industrial relations, human resources consulting, or related field
- Effective planning and organizing/project management skills
- Ability to effectively lead projects
- Demonstrated proficiency with employment practices
- Ability to work without supervision
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively
- Must be able to lead business-related efforts
- Ability to navigate through complex issues
- Demonstrated experience with represented employees in well-organized workplaces
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in any field of study
- A master’s degree will be an added advantage
