Position: Junior Account Officer
Job brief
One of our major clients needs the services of a smart and dedicated Junior Account Officer to join our amazing team. The job holder will have to provide support to our finance team. Nevertheless, the ideal candidate will have to record all transactions, reconcile accounts, and assist with financial reporting, as well as support the financial department.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Compliance with all accounting principles
- Arranging functions and invoices that have been approved for payment
- Handling all bank transactions
- Ensure accurate record-keeping
- Assisting with administrative support to the finance team
- Ensure accuracy in the financial report
- Address payment issues
- Managing cash flow
- Monitors financial management of departmental budgets
- Record creation and processing of invoices
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Regularly perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Liaise with vendors and clients regarding billing and payment
- Manage company expenses and petty cash
Requirement
- 3 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role
- Proven experience as an account officer
- Ability to use accounting software
- Strong accounting and analytical skills
- Good understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Strong numerical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates with immediate availability will be given priority
- A female candidate is preferred in this role
- Problem-solving and Interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Ability to work well within the team
- Good knowledge of accounting principles
