Position: Cost Engineer
Job Brief
WTS Energy currently needs a Cost Engineer to provide cost engineering services on several of our projects. Nevertheless, the successful candidate will have to report and forecast various project developments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work hand in hand with the project teams
- Create a cost-effective plan
- Reducing waste
- Uphold inclusive cost reports
- Spot out areas for cost saving
- Provide support in the assessment of the project
- Create and implement superlative practices to improve financial performance
- Ensure accordance with company policies on financial regulations
- Assess project budgets
- Detecting changes and recommending corrective measures to maintain a financial procedure
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years experience in cost engineering or financial management
- Must have experience working in the Niger Delta/Rivers region
- Strong business acumen
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle various projects at the same time
- Good numerical accuracy skills
- Must know about Health, Safety, and Environmental) standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
Qualification
- BSc in Engineering, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or any related field
- A Master’s degree is an added advantage
- Professional certification (e.g., AACE, CCP) is an added advantage
