Position: Internal Auditor
Job Brief
A Loan Agency in the financial sector is looking for an internal auditor to be part of our dedicated team. The successful candidate will thoroughly know accounting procedures and sound judgment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the planning of assigned audits
- Act as a lead on various projects or actions to implement the internal Audit improvement plan
- Ensure consistent development and implementation of the assurance approach and strategy
- Determine internal audit scope
- Prepare and present reports
- Identify loopholes
- Control the full audit cycle
- Follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions
- Assess accounting documentation
- Identify areas of risk or concern
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a similar role
- Good analytical skills
- Ability to undertake numerous tasks at the same time
- Strong experience in designing processes in conformance with IIA Standards
- Excellent knowledge of professional standards of internal auditing
- Ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Certification in ICAN, ACCA, CIMA is an added advantage
- Ability to operate a computer
- Strong communication skills

- BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or any related field
