Bridgemead Limited is seeking to hire a Head of Store, who will manage the strategic and operational activities of all the stores. Nevertheless, you are to ensure that the company assets are well safeguarded. To be successful in this role, you will be willing to take up more responsibilities and maintain safe custody of items.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal inventory levels, strong internal controls, and an accurate reporting system
- A strategic inventory mechanism that controls systems that balance availability, cost efficiency, and risk management.
- Coordinate receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of all materials, spares, and consumables
- Manage all stock movements accurately captured on Microsoft Dynamics NAV in real time.
- Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports to support management decision-making.
- Ensure firm adherence to company policies, separation of duties, and audit requirements.
- Manage intermittent and surprise stock counts, reconciliations, and audit reviews.
- Keep track of the minimum inventory and collaborate with the production team to reduce wastage.
- Collaborate with other depatermental head to increase ROI
- Track stock trends to prevent overstocking, stock-outs, obsolescence, and emergency procurement.
- Support and participate in budgeting, variance analysis, and year-end stock valuation exercises
- Take the lead, train and show leadership in compliance with safety standards.
- Support a culture of responsibility, integrity, and continuous improvement within the stores and the organisational environment
Requirements
- 12 years of working experience in stores or inventory management within the FMCG industry
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the steel industry is an added advantage
- Proven experience working with internal audit and finance teams.
- Core Competencies in inventory and stock management control
- Proving report and analytics to the management
- Team management tools, scheduling, and tracking staff training systems.

Qualification
- BSc in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or any related discipline.
