Job Brief
A private multispeciality Hospital in Abuja is currently looking for a suitable candidate to fill the above position of Head of Medical Laboratory. Therefore, as the Head of the Medical Laboratory, you must be able to multitask and plan. A top-notch laboratory manager put together their experience in the science field with good managerial skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Strong leadership skill
- Upholding safety protocols
- Scheduling staff
- Training lab assistants
- Directing laboratory staff
- Keeping up to date on new technologies
- Manage production laboratory facility
- Prompt changes as needed
- Provide technical oversight for laboratory personnel
- Monitor accepted standards of performance
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science
- 15 years of working experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced knowledge of medical laboratory protocols
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
- Current practising license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)
- At least 5-7 years of experience in a managerial capacity at a medical laboratory
- Knowledge of quality management standards
