The IITA BIP in pursuance of its vision and mission seeks suitable applicants for the position above at its Headquarters situated on the IITA campus in Ibadan.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain both mechanical and electrical equipment
- Assist powerhouse mechanics
- Report on safety hazards
- Performing regular safety checks on equipment
- Ensure operating rooms are kept clean and safe
- Regularly conducting pre-operational checks on equipment
- Promptly reporting all faults to the Supervisor
- Ensure equipment is properly positioned
- Comply with the company’s regulations
- Carrying out repairs on faulty mechanical equipment
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of powerhouse operations
- Ability to work any time when needs arise
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure

- Excellent teamwork
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to beat deadlines
- Minimum of three (3) years experience
- Proven work experience as an equipment operator
Qualification
- National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field
