Position: English Language and Literature in English Teacher

Job Brief

A qualified and experienced English language and literature in English teacher is urgently needed at Diadem College at Ifako Gbagada. If you love English and can teach the language with patience and tact, let’s meet. As a Teacher of English, you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who consistently shows the highest standards of delivery.
Therefore, as a  Teacher, you are expected to work with other members of the teaching team, you will
be responsible for the delivery of the following key priorities:

Roles and Responsibilities

• Create lesson notes
• Make projects designed to improve teaching
• Make use of different curriculum resources
• Coach students on interpreting teaching
• Assisting students in interpreting literature and poetry
• Educate students on the arrangement and content of the English language
• Teach proper grammar, spelling, and sentences to students
• Give out homework and interesting exercises
• Research new language teaching methods for students
• Notify parents about their children’s performance
• Assign books to read
• Coach students on an individual basis
• Preparing and regularly updating subject materials
• Supporting and motivating students
• Ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students

Requirements

• Proven experience as an English language and Literature English teacher
• Strong understanding of curriculum English language and literature in English
• Commitment to students and education
• Excellent communication skills
• Ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students

Qualifications

• B.A (Ed) English
