Position: Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Power Plant)
Job Brief
Worldwide Technical Services is a leading Engineering operation and maintenance. We are searching for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Power Plant) to support the company in accomplishing the Company’s vision by driving and coordinating the development of the assigned asset in line with the company’s strategy and objectives. Therefore, to be successful in this role you have to be responsible for all Electrical systems in the Power Plant and provide the necessary routine maintenance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure all Electrical equipment is available
- Manage the Electrical team in resolving issues
- Act in response to any electrical equipment malfunction or breakdown
- Minimize the cost of maintenance of the plant
- Supervision of maintenance measures in the Electrical maintenance unit
- Ensure proper record of faults and repairs on plant electrical systems
- Optimize Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)
- Lessen the response time to the Operations unit for handling routine day-to-day problems
- Plan resources needed for electrical repairs–manpower, materials, and contracts
- Ensure availability of spares and other infrastructure for maintenance
Requirements
- Good Knowledge of statutory guidelines related to electrical equipment
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Power Industry
- Knowledge of modern maintenance management practices
- Familiarity with safety requirements and environmental aspects of power generation
- Good in maintenance planning scheduling, and technical reporting
- Solid experience in Low, medium, and high-voltage electrical systems
- Proactive interventions of plant electrical systems
- Technical knowledge of all electrical systems in power plant
- Experience in 132KV HV systems(this will be an added advantage)
- Able to troubleshoot, and maintain switchgear and motors
Qualification
- BSc or HND in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering
