Position: Drilling Accountant
Job Brief
Worldwide Technical Services is a leading Engineering operation and maintenance. We are searching for a Drilling Accountant to support the company in accomplishing the Company’s vision by driving and coordinating the development of the assigned asset in line with the company’s strategy and objective. Therefore, you will be responsible for keeping accurate accounting records and all other costs incurred during drilling activities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Serve as the crossing point between Finance and Drilling
- Provide Finance support to the Drilling and Completions Team
- Attend inquiries on invoice status
- Ensure that all relevant drilling costs are captured
- Provide adequate support to the JV team on monthly cash cal
- Asset managers’ areas of variances between AFE and expenditure
- Provide reports and support documents as required for all Internal and Statutory audits
- Ensure that Well AFEs are fully approved before wells are spudded
- Reviews, budget, and performance defence meetings
- Provide finance support to ensure 95% cost recovery on drilling activities
Requirements
- 8+years of post-qualification experience/Master’s degree
- Strong attention to details
- Good communication skills
- 12+ years of oil and gas accounting experience
- Professional Qualifications – ACA, ACCA, CPA, etc
Qualification
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or any business management-related course
