Position: Compliance Manager

Job Brief

BAT is evolving at a pace, we are hiring a Compliance Manager to be part of our team—an individual ready to live our ethos daily. Therefore, you will provide proactive compliance support to internal stakeholders and business units.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Spot assess areas of significant business risk
  • Support BAT’s Risk Management
  • Manage risk-based audits covering operational
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information
  • Implement the annual Internal Audit plan
  • Provide internal and external auditors
  • Direct resources and audit assignments
  • Conduct ad hoc investigations into reported risks
  • Provide assistance as required during the year
  • Coordinate resources and audit assignments

Requirements

  • Solid accounting background
  • Minimum of 4 years work experience
  • Audit and control experience will be an added advantage
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Testing and reporting approaches would be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of working with ERP systems
  • Knowledge of internal control practices
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA, CIMA

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
