Position: Communication Coordinator

Job Brief

We are searching for a dedicated Communications coordinator to join our dynamic team. The holder will develop and implement communication strategies. Nevertheless, you will help create promotional materials. To be successful in this role, you will have strong writing skills and good media relations experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all media-related activities
  • Coordinate website and social media platforms
  • Work closely with program teams
  • Produced and edited internal and external communication documents
  • Monitor media coverage
  • Plan and implement a communications strategy
  • Serves as point of contact for media-related issues

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience in communications, media relations preferably with the NGO
  • Able to manage digital communication platforms
  • Good writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • organizational skills
  • Good time management
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Qualification

  • BSc in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or Media Studies
  • A master’s degree is an added advantage
