Position: Commodity Traders (Non-oil Products/Commodities)

Job Brief

We are currently looking for Commodity traders to fill the vacancy space in our organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying and executing both digital platform and physical trading of precious metals, solid minerals, and agricultural products, developing and building  (both import and export) strong business relationships, and contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the company.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Trading Executive

• Execute commodity trading short and long-term (future options or spots) strategies including buying and selling non-oil commodities and agricultural products.
• Manage trading positions of physical export and import and risk exposure to optimize profitability
• Undertake seamless execution of proprietary import and export transaction
• Initiate importation and storage

      2. Market Analysis and Research

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of non-oil commodities and agricultural market
• Monitor market trends for relevant products, supply and demand dynamics, and geopolitical factors affecting commodities prices.
• Provide timely reports and insights to support trading decision

      3. Risk Management

• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate the effects of market volatility
• Monitor and manage trading limits and exposures by company policies
• Track price movements and evaluate the performance of trading strategies and marketing initiatives
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies
• Prepare and submit trading reports to regulatory authorities as required

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field a master’s degree is a plus
• Proven experience of 5-6 years in commodity trading and/or non-oil commodities and agricultural products
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Knowledge of commodity markets, trading platforms, and relevant regulations
• Ability to work well under pressure and make informed decision
• A results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and objectives
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software is an advantage
• A passion for the commodities industry and a commitment to sustainable practices
