Position: Coldroom Operator
Job Brief
We are looking for a suitably qualified person who will work as our Coldroom Operator. The Cold Room Operator will oversee the loading and offloading.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Packing and arranging crates inside the cold room.
- Tagging and maintaining tags on crates
- Installation of refrigeration unit
- Ensure that the work area is safe and hygienic
- Designing and construction of cold storage facility
- Attend minor repairs/faults of all equipment
- Check the working and performance of all equipment
- Perform scheduled daily cleaning, maintenance and sanitization of the cold room
- Calculate the number of temperature sensors required for the cold storage facility
- Opening/Closing of the cold room for daily operations
Requirements
- Vast experience in cold room operations
- Ability to utilise time and equipment effectively
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to interpret diagrams of cold room system
- Reasoning skills to identify and resolve basic problems
Qualification
- ND/HND/BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
