Position: Area Manager
Job brief
We are recruiting to fill the above position to increase sales within an assigned geographical area and guide a team of field sales representatives. As the area sales manager you will deliver presentations to potential and existing customers, and evaluate the sales team’s performance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop sales strategies and plans to achieve sales
- Motivating members to meet or exceed sales targets
- Communicate actively with sales teams in a given area
- Monitoring the performance of the sales team
- Maintain contact with clients/customers for feedback
- Obtain client/customer satisfaction information
- Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
- Delegate authority and responsibility to the team members
- Providing overall guidance to the sales team of an assigned territory.
- Assist in the development and preparation of the organisation’s sales strategy
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical sales
- Must be ready to travel within assigned territory
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to consult and negotiate with customers
- Strong analytical
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well with little supervision
- Knowledge of or experience with Internet sales methods
- Proven experience in handling both OTC and Ethical products.
