Job Brief
An indigenous pharmaceutical company based in Lagos is seeking to hire a competent Accountant. The ideal candidate is expected to handle various tasks and be able to beat deadlines. Nevertheless, you are to provide transparency. Have a strong knowledge of financial accounting and possess strong computer skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee the validation of transactions and verification of their overall impact
- Lay down and validate the accounting systems and tools
- Settle amounts due, or recover outstanding receivable
- Prepare staff payroll administrations. including fringe benefit computations
- Ensure timely and effective follow-up to audit observations and recommendations
- Make financial recommendations
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
- Ensure all bookkeeping is accurate
- Properly store and manage financial data
- Update review and accounting processes
Requirements
- 3 years experience in accounting
- Advanced use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Proven track record as an accountant
- Must have a minimum of 10 work experience
- Ability to work without supervision
- Good analytical skills
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations
