Position: Fleet Officer

Job brief

CarParts Nigeria Limited is looking for a Fleet Officer to serve as our primary point of contact, coordinating vehicle maintenance and repair. The officer will be responsible for managing client and related fleet activities. The Fleet officer will ensure timely service delivery and provide all necessary support to improve clients’ fleet efficiency.

The Fleet Officer is expected to oversee high-performing fleets that rely on preventive maintenance, manage standardized inspections, and early issue detection to reduce unplanned downtime and avoid costly disruptions.

What you will be doing

As the Fleet Officer you well takes up a mix of job, you are to  coordinate maintenance and vehicle inspections, monitor fuel and repair spend, staying on top of compliance, and using performance data to make to be on the top of your job. In practice, the fleet officer becomes the top contact – aligning drivers, techs, create strong business relationship with vendors.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitor vehicle operation
  • Ensure vehicles are well-maintained
  • Assessing drivers’ performances
  • Coordinating vehicle licensure
  • Ensure drivers adhere to proper driving practices
  • Carry out vehicle inspections from time to time
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Client Management & Support.
  • Fleet Maintenance Planning & Coordination.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly fleet reports.
  • Work closely with Mechanics and  spare parts dealers
  • Ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Client relationship management

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in fleet management
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage fleets
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of fleet management principles
  • Strong knowledge of the local and national transportation systems
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Solid negotiation, communication, and supervisory skills.
  • High level of integrity and discipline, and
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of Lagos routes

Qualification

  • BSc in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or any other related field
