Position: Laboratory Scientist
Job Brief
A nonprofit organization Los Angeles-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), requires the service of a Laboratory scientist to provide cutting-edge medicine and advocacy to patients in more than 35 countries.
Therefore, you are to conduct medical laboratory tests, experiments and analyses to assist in the diagnosis. Nevertheless, you will perform these tests using sophisticated equipment including a microscope and use the data
Roles and Responsibilities
- Examine and analyze blood
- Collecting of blood or other samples from patients
- Monitor patient outcomes
- Maintaining of laboratory equipment
- Carry out and interpret blood group
- Preparing tissue sections
- Record test data
- Conducts experiments seeking biochemical relationships
- Run tests for transfusion purposes
- Supporting scientific investigations and experiments
Requirements

- Able to travel 30-50% of the time
- Great teamwork skills
- Adherence to standard laboratory protocols
- Strong knowledge of the analysis of blood
- Must be a member of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria
- Have a valid license to practice as a medical laboratory scientist
