Position: Nurse
Job Brief
An international medical humanitarian organisation needs the services of a medical nurse. The job holder will have to provide nursing care and ensure strong follow-up for children with malnutrition.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor patients’ vital signs
- Provide adequate nursing care
- Follow up on blood transfusion
- Ensure high standards of hygiene
- Make sure patients are properly received
- Provide medical and nutritional care
- Assisting medical staff during consultations
- Carry out admission, surveillance and follow-up of patients
- Organize and carry out care and treatments according to medical prescriptions
- Ensuring that patients who need blood transfusion get it quickly
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a valid license
- Clinical and technical skills
- Excellent communication
- Interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Flexible, patient and adaptable to a changing environment
- Ability to work on own initiative and adapt to changing needs
- Local language is essential (Hausa)
