Position: Internal Auditor
Job Brief
A reputable Engineering, Procurement and Maintenance organization seek to hire an internal auditor to be part of our dedicated team. The successful candidate will thoroughly know accounting procedures and sound judgment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct follow-up on audits
- Prepare reports with audit findings and recommendation
- Audit various aspects of the business
- Ensure internal control is being adhered to
- Prepare and present reports
- Identify loopholes
- Control the full audit cycle
- Follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions
- Assess accounting documentation
- Create financial strategies to reduce inadequacy
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience
- Experience in managing and developing staff
- Ability to undertake numerous tasks at the same time
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of professional standards of internal auditing
- Ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Be versatile enough to conduct a variety of audits for multiple stakeholders
- Ability to operate a computer
- Strong communication skills
Qualifications
- BSc or HND in Accounting
- A member of the Institute of Chartered Accounting of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria will be an added advantage
