The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable applicants for the above position for immediate employment. The IITA BIP in pursuance of its vision and mission seeks suitable applicants for the position above at its Headquarters situated on the IITA campus in Ibadan.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in servicing and repairing the institute’s vehicles both petrol and diesel engines
- Perform overhauling of vehicle components
- Assist in preparing vehicles for roadworthiness
- Recovery of breakdown vehicles and checking of vehicles for long trips
- Assist in cleaning and maintenance of workshop and equipment
- Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment
- Computer literate
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle mechanical equipment in the workshop
Qualification
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
