Position: Heavy Equipment Supervisor

The IITA BIP in pursuance of its vision and mission seeks suitable applicants for the position above at its Headquarters situated on the IITA campus in Ibadan.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Schedule preventive maintenance and safety inspection for equipment and trucks with the assistance of the Heavy Equipment Superintendent
- Keep downtime very low by constantly inspecting equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical defects and failures in various heavy/earth-moving equipment including diesel and petrol-powered trucks
- Carry out spot-checking equipment for optimum performance
- Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
- Assist in keeping complete records for equipment and spare parts in stock for repair
- Monitor operational activities of subordinate staff in the section
- Receiving work assigned for maintenance services
- Work with the heavy equipment superintendent by coordinating
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience performing a similar role
- Good experience in repair/overhauling
- Maintenance of all kinds of earth-moving equipment
- Excellent communication skills
Qualification
- BSc/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field
