Position: Head of Exploration and Development
Job Brief
Nuway Oaklane Limited is a marginal field operator of PPL 219 in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria. We seek dynamic and experienced individuals to fill the above position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for further exploration activities in the field, of project management.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the daily activity of a mid-sized multi-disciplinary oil-producing asset
- Develop dynamic reservoir simulation models
- Conduct reservoir simulation history matching for reserve monitoring
- Take the lead in development engineering
- Training other team member
- Preparing reservoir development plans
- Build and maintain reserve and resource estimates
- Evaluating drilling opportunities from a business perspective
- Handling surveillance of production
- Reports to management and other key stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years relevant working experience out of which at least 10 years should be in the management of an oil field
- Ability to lead a team
- Good communication skills
- Leadership skills
- Ability to work with team members
Qualification
- BSc in Geology, Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or any related field
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Membership in relevant professional bodies
