Position: Medical Lab Scientist
Job Brief
We require the service of a Medical Laboratory scientist to take charge of our laboratory department. Therefore, as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you are to conduct medical laboratory tests, experiments and analyses to assist in the diagnosis.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Reporting of test results
- Examine and analyze blood
- Run tests for transfusion purposes
- Perform and interpret blood group
- Collecting of blood or other samples from patients
- Monitor patient outcomes
- Maintaining of laboratory equipment
- Carry out and interpret blood group
- Preparing tissue sections
- Conduct chemical analyses of blood, urine, and other body fluids
Requirements
- Analytical skills
- In-depth knowledge of the principles of biochemistry
- Organizational skills
- Minimum of 3 years post-BMLS experience
- Communication skills
- Strong knowledge of the analysis of blood
- Interpersonal skills
- Good time management
- Attention to detail
- Intermediate computer skills
Qualification
- Must have a BS.c or HND in Medical Laboratory
