Position: Agricultural Experts Fisheries/Crop Growing
Job Brief
We are an indigenous manufacturing group of companies based in Lagos. Due to expansion and the culture to diversify into farming, we urgently require the services of experienced and mature qualified agriculturists to work on our farm. The ideal candidate we have to take responsibility for our fisheries and crop growth activities on our farm. However, you are to ensure that the fishery and crop operations are running smoothly.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To manage the daily operation of the farm
- Ensure that fish are properly fed
- Take responsibility for general maintenance
- Proving expert advise
- Giving guidance to farmers
- Performing regular inspections
- Proving agricultural business advice on crop selection
- Strong knowledge of aquaculture engineering
- Responsible for all processes of fish and crop farming purposes
- Perform other duties as assigned by a program manager
Requirements
- Highly skilled
- Strong background in agricultural practices
- Good knowledge of crop management
- Must not be more than 45 years of age
- 5 years of working experience
- Attention to details
- Problem-solving skills
- Supervisory skills
- Aquaculture engineering and pound layout experience
- Strong practical training in catfish inbreeding system
Qualification
- BS.c in Agriculture
