Position: Market-Based Sanitation Consultant

Job Brief

Self Help Africa  (SHF) is an international development organisation with Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland and dedicated to the vision of sustainable livelihoods and healthy lives for all in a changing climate. We have almost 50 years of experience working in Africa, including over 20 years in Nigeria (as a united purpose and concern universal) We looking to hire a Country Finance Manager to be part of our team. We are currently looking to hire a Market-Based Sanitation Consultant.

The Consultancy

Self Help Africa (SHF) is executing an eighteen (18) months learning project with the goal to develop and widely share an adapted approachnand toolbox of scalable  solutions to area wide sanitation in fragile and confilct- affected areas in Nigeria

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop an adapted MBS strategy and implentation plan for fragile context
  • Participate in scoping visits and intial national and local discussions
  • Take adapting approaches to the fragile context
  • Provide technical support to the implementation of a pilot adapted MBS for fragile context
  • Participate in periodic reviews with the project team
Qualifications
  • Minimum of Bachelor degree in any social science, business management, entrepreneurship or any related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in WASH focusing on Market-based sanitation
  • Strong experience in implementing market-based sanitation approaches in Nigeria and strengthening the sanitation and hygiene market networks
