Position: Cargo Pump Specialist
Job Brief
A leading oil service company is seeking to recruit suitable qualified personnel to fill the above position in the company
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee testing and monitoring of wells
- Responsible for the safety of staff and production facilities
- Provide design, review and technical support during all phases of capital projects
- Operate and maintain power pumps
- Performs maintenance on gas and oil meters and gauges
- Carry out final equipment checkout and approval
- Make use of tools and their mechanical skills
- Performs maintenance and repairs on pumps and pipe sections
- Control the main cargo pumps
- Monitoring systems in the cargo control room
Requirements
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/ department
- Make day-to-day decisions within or for a group/ small department
- Strong knowledge of department processes
- Ability to supervise a group of primarily para-professional level staff
- Strong leadership skills
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or similar educational qualification in a relevant branch of Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering Science
