Position: Chief Quantity Surveyor
Job Brief
We are a group of companies with an interest in construction, project management, SME business development, and consultancy with a Head office in Abuja and operational offices in Lagos, Ogun state and other Southwest states including Akwa Ibom state.
Therefore, to be successful as a chief quantity surveyor you have to use a methodical approach and terrific interpersonal skills. Nevertheless, exceptional quantity surveyors are not only great at analyzing but also know how to tailor their negotiation plans to ensure the best possible outcome.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Visiting various sites
- Preparing quantity requirements
- Liaising with site managers, clients
- Advising managers and clients
- Keeping track of materials
- Evaluating construction plans
- Prepares the Bill of quantities
- Keeping track of materials on-site
- Maintain professional relationships
- A thorough check on the work done by other members of the team
Requirements
- Minimum of BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying
- Experience in an engineering service firm is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a QS
- Must be a member of NIQS is an added advantage
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent computer skills
