Job Abstract
A reputable Financial management and tax consulting firm situated in Ogba is looking for a brilliant tax specialist to work with our team. In this role, the tax specialist will help create and apply tax policies and plans and assess managerial processes to comply with relevant statutes and regulatory codes
This role also involves tax planning and reporting, as well as the filing of corporate tax returns. The ideal candidate must be an analytical, detail-oriented professional who takes pleasure in solving complex tax-related issues.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Stay up to date with changes in the tax code
- Verify the accuracy of records
- Documenting of tax reporting and preparation
- Preparing and filing tax returns
- Maintain good written and oral communications linking the company and other agencies
- Perform research on tax compliance issues
- Maintain the company’s tax database
- Ensure clients comply with federal tax regulations
- Suggest ways to improve income
- Get solutions to complicated tax issues
Requirements
- Must have worked with FIRS and LIRS
- Good communication skills
- Competence in relevant accounting software
- Good numerical skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Proven experience as a tax accountant

- BS.c/HND in taxation
